Waiting for New Pineapples
What happens when a comedian gets breast cancer? She gains power over through humor. She also fantasized about being someone she wasn’t – a Brazilian dancer. So she started taking Brazilian dance lessons with her dance instructor-friend and Brazil native Beto and voila! Waiting for New Pineapples was born! Part comedy show, part dance lesson, this show brings the audience to its feet. Breast cancer patients and caregivers emerge with hope and tangible ways to get through it. Friends and supporters feel re-energized after Jacki sings a song for them…very poorly. Jacki even made her oncologist laugh.
