Okay, NY. NOW I’m tired.

So I went to open mic and Comix thinking it would be different than all other open mics. (SFX: Buzzer) The place was packed with all comics. One other first-timer like me also died painful comedy deaths. At the end, the comics but were nice to us. Kind of like Officer and a Gentleman, I guess. Nobody carried me out of the club, but it would have been a nice touch. They explained it’s tough to “break in.” I was too horrified to announce how much experience I’ve had “breaking in.” So NOW I’m tired, damn it! The comics thought it was hilarious when I said, “That’s funny. That joke worked in Portland.” Now the NY comics want to come to Portland.
