Meet Joy: One rocking mother

Joy is a force of nature, a total bad ass who champions all things mom and women. She’s legit, with a master’s degree in Mother Studies. Plus, she’s an artist and rocker who has had music on the Billboard Top 100 Dance Charts. So here comes a hurricane in St. Petersburg, Florida (Joy calls it a “herricane.” Mom joke!) She waits for the storm to pass, then opens the Mom Museum (MoM), the “first and only exhibition and education center devoted to the art, science, and herstory of women, m/others, and families.” Even if you don’t live anywhere near Florida, the website offers all kinds of cool stuff, like Remote Residencies. Brilliant! I thought you guys might like checking out her website over the weekend. Congrats Joy!

It’s the weekend! I’ve spent most of the week by myself with full control of the remote. I’ve got to say, I didn’t know what to do with all that power. Brian wasn’t around to dominate with YouTube car videos and World War II planes. I’ve “solved” all the true crime documentaries and have finally gotten enough of my first love…justice. Now what?

Looking for the right thing to watch is like trying to figure out your identity after the kids spring the nest. You watch a little trailer, then click next option. Private detective sounded cool at first, but I can’t read a map or eat fast food on stake outs. I’m too tired to switch lives or TV genres. So, true crime it is!

Have a fantastic, safe weekend whether you’ve got the remote or not. XOXOXO
