When I helped with our school’s Tour de Ladd bike race fundraiser this morning as Street Close Girl, I realized this time last year, Sari found out she had cancer. I was close behind. So we’re coming up on a year, and I’m feeling like the trap door opened and dumped me out on asphalt at the Tour de Ladd. But this time, there weren’t two dudes in a busted-a Eldorado driving around the circle heckling me. And today I didn’t hear myself chirp: Go back to your mother’s basement!
THREE POSITIVES:
1- Liv said she wanted me to volunteer at school, and I’m doing it!
2- Tonight I’m working as an usher at the Voices lecture series. Looking forward to learning.
3- Sari, we’re on the other side! Revel in that!
